Hera Pheri isn’t shelved... yet

The shooting of Hera Pheri 3, the next installment of the hit comedy franchise Hera Pheri is almost halfway through. However, rumours doing rounds suggest that the film, which has been grappling with date problems, has been shelved. Actor John Abraham, who is part of the film’s cast was recently asked about the status of the film, which he fended off by saying that the correct person to answer this question would be the producer.

When we contacted Firoz Nadiadwala, he said, “40 per cent of the film has been shot and we will finish the remaining shoot in the coming few months. Earlier, John’s leg had fractured and then his later dates had already been given to another project. Later we had to wait for Paresh Rawal’s political commitments and at the moment we are waiting to get clear dates from all our actors, post which we will finish the remaining parts.”

Commenting on the rumours, he added, “The film is definitely not shelved. In fact, we have put in a lot of money in the film till now and it’s a big-budget venture. We have shot in Abu Dhabi and at a few other exotic locations. I am happy to wait for all the actors to give us dates and then finish the film.”

On being asked whether John has given dates to finish the film, he said, “We need dates from all the actors, only then can we finish it.”
