Katrina Kaif’s aiming for the top spot

With her recent bikini avatar for Baar Baar Dekho (the title, interestingly, also fits in perfectly as a caption for the picture perfect still), Katrina Kaif proved just how much in shape she is. But the interesting part is not her physique, but the fact that the actress has now entered a new and a more uninhibited phase of her career.

Fresh from a heartbreak, the actor seems primed to bounce back to her original position of supremacy amongst Bollywood actresses and she seems unafraid to explore boundaries, connect with strangers and try out new experiences.

A source from the core team of Baar Baar Dekho describes her as the ‘new power-packed Katrina’. “She’s hurting, she is a wounded lioness. The whole idea of putting out a still in a bikini with Sidharth Malhotra came from her. Katrina is ready to compete with not just Deepika and Priyanka but also with Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt,” says the source.

The actor has already been sending out strong signals to directors about her desire to work with them. The source adds, “She is in top gear now. The Kala Chashma number was meant to display just how much in shape she is to take on the competition.” Apparently, Katrina spent over two weeks just getting ready to face the camera for the Kala Chashma number.
