It’s been over three months since filmmaker Aanand L. Rai’s last film as a producer, Nil Battey Sannata opened in theatres to critical acclaim and positive reactions, especially for the message it brought out. The film, directed by Ashwini Iyer, highlighted the journey of a mother who does odd jobs to give her daughter the best education and left people with the message that anything is possible through education.

And now, taking this topic ahead, Aanand Rai has come up with an innovative idea to take the film’s message a step ahead and bring it from reel to real. The filmmaker and his team will be approaching schools in Mumbai to screen the film. His idea is that it is important for students to be aware of the importance of education and how one can better one’s life with it. The core idea of the film was that one may belong to any social strata but educating themselves is an absolute must.

Confirming the news, Aanand Rai said, “Education is always the first step to a better tomorrow. I hope I can do my bit and use our film to reach out to a few organisations to spread the word and inspire them to start education and scholarship programmes for the underprivileged.”

On the work front, Aanand Rai is gearing up for the release of his next production Happy Bhaag Jayegi, which stars Abhay Deol and Diana Penty. And by the end of the year, he plans to shoot his next directorial with Shah Rukh Khan.
