Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil may have raked in the big moolah at the box office, but the thumbs down from the audience and critics alike has made the filmmaker wary of his next production. So much so that he has asked director Shakun Batra to hold onto his script and give Karan enough time and mind space to ensure that it is water-tight.
For those of you that don’t remember this, Shakun’s earlier Dharma film, Kapoor and Sons had managed to impress the critics and viewers too. Despite that, Karan is being cautious with the project.
A close source reveals, “Shakun Batra has finished writing his next film which is still untitled. The final draft is ready but the director is waiting for Karan Johar’s nod. Since the latter is busy with the ongoing production of Badrinath Ki Dulhania and also gauging the collections of his latest ADHM, Karan is taking his own sweet time in finalising things for Shakun.”
Karan’s three big films — Shuddhi, Kalank and Raat Baaki — are also on hold.
