Salman Khan, Sooraj Barjatya bond closer than ever

There were many who were rather surprised to see Salman Khan break down at Sooraj Barjatya’s cousin, Rajjat’s memorial service recently. However, it wasn’t as surprising to those who already know the strong and deep bond that Sooraj and Salman share with each other. A close friend of the actor says, “Sooraj represents all that is good and humane in Salman. Right from the time they made their debut as leading man and director together in Maine Pyar Kiya, the duo has shared a very strong bond. There were a few rough patches, especially after the blackbuck hunting incident during Hum Saath Saath Hai, but today, Salman is closer to Sooraj than ever before. And even though they are the same age, Salman really looks up to Soorajji.”

The source adds that this was also the reason why Salman was really shaken up by Rajjat’s death. “Salman considers Sooraj’s family his own and that’s why Rajjat’s death felt to him like a death in his own family,” adds the source.

The bond is not just restricted to their personal lives, in their professional lives too it is as strong as ever. Salman has made it clear that he will set aside his other commitments to do Sooraj’s next, which will take off in 2017. A source reveals, “Salman has asked Soorajji to write a film for him that neither of them has ever attempted before.”
