Divya Dutta is seen as one the most underrated actresses in the industry, someone who delivers one power-packed performance after another, without making much noise about her work. The actress will be next seen in Chalk n Duster, alongside Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi. Speaking of her co-stars, Divya says, “Shabanaji is someone I have watched while growing up and in our last film together, she played my mother. So we are tremendously fond of each other. Juhi and I have done four films together — she is a fun person to work with.”
Having shared screenspace with several big stars, Divya has just one wish yet to be fulfilled. “Aamir Khan is the only superstar I haven’t worked with. I really need to lay my hands on a film with him. I do speak to him off and on and have expressed a desire to work with him,” she says.
One the personal front, the actress is going through a hard time with her mother being currently hospitalised. But there is no running away from work. “It’s scary sometimes. There’s so much happening in your personal life but as an actor you still have to smile for the cameras. Right now I have my hands full with the promotions of my film and I am also working on three other projects. Theres Iraada which is Shyam Benegal’s next where I am working with Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi, then Traffic with Manoj Bajpayee and another film called Ram Singh Charlie.”
