Siddhanth shakes a leg as Dawood

Apoorva Lakhia’s biopic on Haseena Parker may be aimed at being a gritty affair, but it will have its moments of breeze. The film on underworld kingpin Dawood’s sister, in keeping with Bollywood tradition, will feature a song and dance number and swaying to it is Shakti Kapoor’s son, Siddhanth — who plays Dawood.
A source says, “It depicts early days of Dawood’s life, where he is shown celebrating a certain victory. Dawood’s men are shown to enter a bar, get drunk and break into a jig. Apoorva planned on including the sequence only after he realised how good a dancer Siddhanth is. It will be a light moment in the otherwise tense film.”
Interestingly, real life siblings Shraddha and Siddhanth will be seen playing Haseena and Dawood in the film.
Siddhanth says, “The number was a great deal of fun. I think we all got our tapori (unsophisticated) moves right.”
