SRK to be the first guest at Kapil’s new show

Shah Rukh Khan and Kapil Sharma go back a long way. It comes as no surprise to know that Shah Rukh will kickstart The Kapil Sharma Show on April 23 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment.

Shah Rukh and Kapil apparently have big plans for the inaugural episode of Kapil’s new show.

Says a source, “SRK will be there to promote his new film Fan. But it won’t be just another simple promotional episode. Shah Rukh will be presented on the show in a completely different light. One thing Kapil won’t do is take potshots at Comedy Nights. In fact there will be no mention of Kapil’s earlier show at all.”

Back on the rival show Comedy Nights (without Kapil) desperate efforts are on to boost plummeting TRPs.

The show seems to be hitting rock-bottom with a discernible scarcity of star-guests. Last week a group of telly actors tried to make cheer with host Krushna Abhishek by doing the naagin dance and other antics. This week a bunch of singers including Himesh Reshammiya and Sunidhi Chauhan showed up.

Says a source in the know, “Comedy Nights has suffered a serious setback after Kapil Sharma’s departure. Krushna Abhishek is doing the same thing on both the shows on Saturday and Sunday. Last week the starlet Adaa who is a regular stand-up comedian on Comedy Bachao on Saturday showed up as Krushna Abhishek’s guest on Comedy Nights the next night. The show is rapidly losing its spark.”

So guess who’s having the last laugh
