Aryan Khan and Navya Nanda’s graduation was a star-studded affair giving us graduation goals as well as family goals! And while teens today are more interested in pursuing their passions over education, Bollywood parents have picked another route for their kids to reach stardom.
Rumour mills have been on the roll about Sara Khan, Saif and Amrita Singh’s daughter making her debut in a Karan Johar film! But the Race 2 star put those rumours to rest almost instantly. “They should go to college and then figure out what they want next. What if acting doesn’t work out Then you will be stuck with no job,” Saif said in an interview. Shah Rukh Khan also expressed similar concerns about his children joining the industry. “If you have an undying passion for films, then get into it. Don’t get into it because you are good looking or Shah Rukh Khan’s kids and he is an actor so I have to be one too,” King Khan spoke up when he was asked if Aryan would be making his debut anytime soon.
Other stars like Sushmita Sen, Malaika Arora and more recently even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have also been seen at their kids school events! For them, having a strong educational base is important. “Creative career choices like acting, modelling, photography, etc. are all high risk professions. People who are already in the field know the risks better than the rest of us and want to protect their children from the same mistakes that they had made. So getting a degree is just another way for these celebrities to secure their children’s future, in case nothing else works out,” says Reema Hanamshet, a career counselor.
