Sunidhi Chauhan may be one of the most sought after singers in the industry today, but she says that she has consciously cut down on her work of late. “There are so many films being made and so many songs being offered to me, but after a point you learn to say no and realise it doesn’t make much of a difference. That’s the only way to ensure you are doing quality work. If I’m getting the cream of the crop why would I settle for anything less ”
Among her few prized projects, is the Hindi version of Frozen in which she has lent her voice to the character Elsa. “I am a fan of animation films and the most challenging part about lending my voice to Frozen was the song Let It Go. There were a lot of changes made to the Hindi version. So I had to make sure that I maintained the same level of energy that the original song had, despite the changes.” The Hindi version will soon premiere on Disney Channel.
In Bollywood, among her much-awaited film albums is Rangoon, for which the singer has teamed up with Vishal Bharadwaj once again. “I have just recorded a song that will be picturised on Kangna Ranaut. As one would expect from a Vishal Bharadwaj film, it isn’t run-of-the-mill. And we have known each other for over 12 years now, that makes it easy to work with Vishalji.”
