Tiger’s facial-hair myth busted
Apart from his cut physique and dancing skills, the one thing about Tiger Shroff that seems to be attracting a lot of attention these days seems to be his facial fuzz.
Apart from his cut physique and dancing skills, the one thing about Tiger Shroff that seems to be attracting a lot of attention these days seems to be his facial fuzz. Everywhere he goes, the actor apparently is asked about his beard, which so far was conspicuous for its absence ever since his clean-shaven debut days in Heropanti two years ago.
At the time of his debut, Tiger reiterated that he had no facial hair growth and that no matter how hard he tried, it somehow just didn’t grow. However, after two years and waiting for his next release, Tiger seems to be leveraging his facial hair for more than just his looks as jokes circulating about this sudden change are giving his film more publicity.
On Kapil Sharma’s show, when he was asked how he managed to grow facial hair in time for his second film, Tiger answered that he was so petrified of losing the growth that he didn’t shave it off, lest it never grew back!
All part of a planned marketing strategy, it turns out.
Says Tiger, “That exchange on Kapil Sir’s show was scripted. I do shave and I do have facial hair. In Heropanti my character needed to look young and innocent, hence the hairless look. Now in Baaghi I play a more mature character. Therefore the facial hair was needed.”
Tiger admits he has given a lot more of himself to Baaghi than his first film. “I just hope Baaghi makes an impact. I’ve given all of myself to it and then some more.”
