The legendary Waheeda Rehman will soon be seen in a Hindi film again. Last seen in 2009 in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi 6, Waheedaji now heads to Jaisalmer for the shoot of director Anup Singh’s film, which also stars Irrfan Khan and Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani.

Anup Singh’s debut film Qissa in 2015 also featured Irrfan and was hugely acclaimed. His new project is called Mantra — Song of Scorpions. It’s about a young singer in Rajasthan, who heals people through her music. But when she herself faces a challenge, she must go on a search for a song that will heal her. Golshifteh Farahani plays this role while Waheedaji appears in a brief but important part.

Also on the anvil for the legendary actress is Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, in which she plays a dancer.
