Contrary to the industry’s expectations, Warning did fairly good business at the box office, managing to make '3 crores on the weekend*. The reviews that the film earned were decent as well. Given that the film has been made on a controlled budget, there’s a good chance that the film will break even soon. It has five days to rake in revenue since Ranbir Kapoor’s Besharam arrives on Wednesday. However, the film is expected to stay put at a few 3D screen theatres for a while at least. It is safe to say that the other releases of the week — Prague, Super Model, Raqt — Ek Rishta and Maazii — have been washouts. They had very poor footfalls in multiplexes as well as single screen theatres. From the looks of it, they might not even be able to complete a week at the theatres. Meanwhile, Grand Masti continues to make big moolah at the box office in its third week while Phata Poster Nikla Hero seems to have fizzled out after a poor second week collection. It may be out of the theatre sooner than expected. *At the time of going to press.
