The VFX work involved in making Amitabh’s character look like an amputee is delaying the film’s release. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has asked the team to rework it more than twice

Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir starring Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari is all set to release in January after two consecutive delays this year. It was earlier set to release in the middle of 2015 and the teaser of the film was attached with PK. It was then moved to October 2 and then December 4 — both of which weren’t finalised.

So what exactly has been holding up this big film It’s certainly not the clashing of release dates, says producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He clarified, “A lot of VFX work is being done on Amitabh Bachchan’s legs (he is wheelchair-bound in the film). I wasn’t happy with that work so I wanted changes. We make films with love and release them with love. The film is not ready yet and it will be completed by December. A lot of VFX work is being done.”

Farhan Akhtar plays the role of an Anti Terrorism Squad officer in the film.
