When Varun Dhawan had a great fall

The actor’s streak of bad luck on stage continued, with a nasty slip during a performance at a recent awards function

It’s been a great year indeed for Varun Dhawan, with films like ABCD 2, Badlapur and Dilwale striking it rich at the box office. His performance at the recent Stardust Awards function was meant to be a celebration of the year that was. Accordingly Varun had an action-packed performance planned, including stunts without a harness. Unfortunately, Varun stumbled badly while performing the routine — although he managed to go on with his performance and avoided any major injuries.

“Varun was supposed to dance atop a statue without a harness. He was really excited about dancing to his hit songs from 2015. Unfortunately, just as he started, he slipped and stumbled. However, he shrugged it off and went on with his performance,” a source who was present at the event told us. Previously, Varun had an accident on stage at an awards show which left him with a badly bruised leg.
