Will maamu jaan save the day for Imran Khan

Aamir Khan, who had produced Imran Khan’s debut vehicle Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa, had given his nephew just the launch pad he needed. The industry saw a new star emerge — the youngest in the Khan brigade. However, Imran couldn’t sustain his success and in the years that followed, he had more misses than hits. There were a lot of hopes pinned on Katti Batti, that released last year, where the actor paired up with Bollywood’s queen Kangana Ranaut but that too sank without a trace. Not one to let failures affect him, the actor has been doing what he loves doing. The family man has been spending his entire time with daughter Imara and wife Avantika. He has been doing a fair amount of travelling too.

Imran is very clear that he doesn’t want to associate anymore with movies he is not fully convinced about. Now we hear his maamu jaan Aamir Khan has taken it upon himself to resurrect Imran’s career. The Dangal actor is apparently scripting Imran’s big comeback. A source told us, “Aamir’s production house is working on a script that will re-launch Imran Khan in a new avatar. After all, just one good script is all one needs. Only the right script can do justice to his acting skills and the team is working in that direction. A director too will be finalised once the script is in place. If all goes well, the film will go on the floors this year. However, neither Aamir nor Imran is in a hurry for this one.” We tried to get a comment from Aamir, but his spokesperson remained unavailable.
