Yo Yo Honey Singh was unwell when he resumed work

Not many know that around two years ago, just two days before the shooting of Zorawar was about to get over Yo Yo Honey Singh fell ill. The climax of the film was yet to be shot but since Honey couldn’t make it at that time, the shoot had to be halted.

Vinnil Markan, director of Zorawar, chose Honey as his main lead after directing the singer’s first music video and spotting some hidden talent in him. Vinnil says, “After he fell ill, initially I was worried about how to finish the film. But for me it was more important that he recover from his condition, irrespective of whether or not he’d be able to get back to work. I met him regularly in the days he was sick. And after he got a little better, he came and shot for the climax.”

Since the dubbing was already done, there was not much left for Honey to do. “But we were very careful on the sets as he had still not fully recovered. The first song of our film launches today and I am very excited. Honey has sung it along with Jasmine Sandlas whom he had collaborated with in the Devil song in Kick,” said the director on Sunday.
