Priced between Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 9.72 lakh, the Honda Amaze rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo and Hyundai Xcent in the Indian market. Based on the top-end VX trim, the Ace Edition is available as a petrol-manual, petrol-CVT automatic, diesel-manual or diesel-CVT automatic.

The Monday launch marks the second-generation compact sedan's success in selling over 1 lakh unit sales milestone in just 13 months. The car was launched in mid May 2018.

"This is the fastest 1,00,000 sales number recorded by any new model launched by Honda brand in India," Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India, said.

He said the model has been a game changer for the brand clocking a 20 per cent higher sales as compared to first generation Amaze.
