Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and D-Max S-CAB to cost more
The ex-showroom price in Delhi of the D-Max V-Cross is Rs 12.78 lakh.
Following in the footsteps of other carmakers, Isuzu has also announced a hike in the prices of the D-Max V-Cross and Isuzu D-Max S-CAB. A 3 to 4 per cent price hike will be effective from January next year. However, no details were communicated regarding the prices of the D-Max pickup and the MU-7 SUV. The statement from the company read, “The newly launched Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and Isuzu D-Max S-CAB have been receiving encouraging response from the Indian market. Isuzu Motors India will increase the ex-showroom price of these vehicles by 3-4 per cent with effect from January 1st, 2017. Customers can contact their nearest ISUZU authorised dealership for further details.”
As of now, the ex-showroom price in Delhi of the D-Max V-Cross is Rs 12.78 lakh and it has garnered quite a lot of attention in the country. Buyers, especially looking for a hard-core, take-anywhere offroader are quite impressed with the V-Cross's capability. Also, the ease with which one can tune the engine has also made it a favourite among tuners in the country. The vehicle features a 2.5-litre diesel engine which produces 138PS of power and 320Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the 4WD can be engaged via a shift-on-the-fly knob, which allows the driver to switch the drive mode even while driving. In terms of safety, the V-Cross has Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and dual front airbags.
Other than Isuzu, other major manufacturers like Honda (up to 3 per cent), Mercedes-Benz (up to 2 per cent), Volkswagen (up to 3 per cent), Nissan (up to Rs 30,000), Hyundai (up to Rs 1,00,000), Tata (up to Rs 25,000) and Toyota (up to 3 per cent) have all declared that their models will cost more from 2017.
