KTM is finally going to launch the much-awaited 2017 390 Duke and 200 Duke in the country on February 23, 2017. The 2017 390 Duke features aggressive styling and additional features. It has a split all-LED headlamp and looks identical to its elder sibling, the KTM Super Duke R. The frame has been revised and now the new motorcycle has a higher ground clearance of 185mm and a reduced wheelbase of 1357mm. The body panels of the 390 Duke have also been modified and look much larger compared to the outgoing model. All these changes add 10 kilos to the weight of the bike.

An important addition is the new colour TFT display that gets a menu navigation switch integrated into the left side handlebar controls. It also can be synced to your smartphone via the KTM MY RIDE app.

The 373.2cc engine makes similar 44PS but torque is up by 1Nm at 36Nm. The bike gets ride-by-wire for a sharper throttle response while a slipper clutch should take care of aggressive downshifts. Euro-IV compliance adds the new conventional exhaust into the mix.

There isn't much information available about the KTM 200 Duke other than a few images released by KTM. From the images, it looks like the 200 Duke is styled similar to the 390 Duke but gets black wheels and black front frame as before. The headlamp is a new design and gets DRLs though it misses out on LED headlamps. It also misses out on the colour LCD screen. Rest of the bike should remain similar to the outgoing model though we expect the engine to be similar to the new RC 200's BS-IV unit.

The new KTM 390 Duke is expected to command a Rs 10,000-15,000 premium over its previous model and might cost around Rs 2,16,000 on road. The 200 Duke might receive a price hike of around 7,000 and is expected to cost around Rs 1,70,000 on road.
