M&M drives in Jeeto Plus variant

Mahindra & Mahindra, India's biggest utility vehicle maker, and American car giant Ford will form a joint venture company in India valued at Rs 1,925 crore ($275 million) to develop, market and distribute Ford brand vehicles in India and export both Ford and Mahindra brand vehicles in high-growth emerging markets around the world.

PUNE: Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India’s largest commercial vehicle makers, has launched a new variant of the Jeeto min-truck called the Jeeto Plus priced at Rs 3.47 lakh at Mumbai showroom.

Mahindra Jeeto Plus, the light commercial vehicle, comes with a longer deck with a total length of 7.4 feet, along with an increased payload capacity of 715 kg. The truck has a 10.5 litre fuel tank.

The Jeeto Plus is powered by a 625cc, single-cylinder diesel engine that produces 16 BHP and 38 Nm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The vehicle's claimed fuel efficiency is 29.1 km per litre. The new vehicle also comes with a warranty of 3 years or 72,000 km, whichever is earlier.

“With the launch of Jeeto Plus, Mahindra offers an excellent value proposition for its customers,” Satinder Singh Bajwa, Business Head- Small Commercial Vehicles at M&M, said.
