To make the most of the festive season, Renault India has launched the Duster Sandstorm edition ahead of Diwali. The special edition of the compact SUV is available only with a 1.5-litred diesel engine but gets both the states of tune – 85PS and 110PS.

The special edition car brings along with it, 9 new upgrades and draws itself from the RxS variant. It really doesn’t sport much except a different look to the same old car and a new set of wheels. For this edition with the below mentioned changes it costs around 27 grand more than the standard version which is justified if you like the new graphics and design. While the 85PS variant is priced at 11.7 lakh, the 110 one costs 10.9 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Both the cars offer a mileage of 20kmpl as per ARAI.

On the exterior, the new edition SUV gets a new black body cladding all around the car with integrated fog lamps. The bold graphics embellishing the car allow it to stand apart from the Duster and the same treatment has been carried off onto the mirrors which adds the finishing touch. The decals of the car's name festoon the bonnet, doors, tailgate and ORVMs. It also sports a rugged-looking shiny black front grille and new 'Zodiac' 16-inch machined alloy wheels.

It will come with the same old K9K 1.5 dCi engine. The car is sold in two guises: one that makes 85PS of power and the other, 110PS. The 110PS one comes with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and offers 245Nm of torque while the 85PS one offers a 5-speed transmission with 200Nm of torque.
