BMW launches 530i M Sport, priced at Rs 59.20 lakh

The new BMW 530i M Sport model now comes with a petrol engine and it is locally produced at the company's Chennai factory.

BMW, the second biggest German luxury car maker in the country, on Thursday introduced its new Mini John Cooper Works, a race car in disguise, priced at Rs 43.50 lakh to boost sales in Asia's third largest economy.

Pune: BMW, the second biggest German luxury car maker, has introduced a new BMW 530i M Sport variant to the 5-Series sedan's line up priced at Rs 59.20 lakh at pan India showroom to boost sales in Asia's third biggest economy.

Along with the 530i M Sport, the 5-Series line up in India comprises of the 530i Sport Line priced at Rs 53.80 lakh, the 520d Luxury Line at Rs 58.70 lakh and the 530d M Sport at Rs 66.20 lakh.

The BMW 5-Series range rivals other luxury sedans like the German market leader Mercedes-Benz's popular E-Class, the Audi A6 and the British brand Jaguar XF in the country.

The new BMW 530i M Sport model now comes with a petrol engine and it is locally produced at the company's Chennai factory. It is BS-VI fuel emission norm compliant, BMW said.  

The new BMW 530i features brand's M Sport exterior package, which includes sportier front and rear bumpers with gloss black detailing on the kidney grille and fog lamp housing, an M aerodynamics package with side skirts and front and rear aprons.
