Telangana signs 7 MoUs for BLockchain centre

Hyderabad: IIIT-H on Friday signed a MoU with IT, Electronics & Communication department of the Telangana government to work together on protocol development, incubation, acceleration and in indentifying various use cases and other related programs to achieve vision of making Hyderabad a block chain hub.
It may be mentioned here that Ripple has chosen IIIT-Hyderabad as one of the universities across the world for its University of Blockchain Research Initiative.
The Telangana government signed around seven MoUs at the International Blockchain Congress to foster the ecosystem.
The state entered into tripartite agreement with IIIT-Basara and Zebi data India to take the menace of fake certificates.
TS IT minister K.T. Rama Rao launched the first phase of the project wherein tenth standard and twelveth standard certificates are uploaded into block chain database and stake holders like Universities, employers can verify it.
