28,234 Cerebral Palsy patients offered normal lifestyle by Narayan SevaSansthan
8 year and 9 year old Cerebral Palsy patients given free treatment.
9 year old Musami Dali and 8 years old Divyanshu Kumar suffering from Cerebral Palsy received a new ray of hope from Narayan SevaSansthan after being operated for free. Narayan SevaSansthanhas conducted over 28,234 post-operative procedures on cerebral palsy patients to offer them a normal lifestyle.
Mausmi Dali before the treatment was diagnosed with active ankle toe movement and had a restricted movement in ankle rom. The child had straight leg raise that was active but was unable to raise it beyond 10 degrees. Post treatment she has been able to have a good toe movement with a straight leg raise coupled with stronger hip abductors.
From the day that Mausmi Dali was diagnosed with this condition, a team of expert Physiotherapists began working on her condition. Several exercises were suggested like sitting knee bending active and passive exercises, active and passive knee extension exercise, hip abductors which was coupled with abductors Rom exercises. She was put through thorough exercises with treatment such as quadriceps and hamstring chair rom exercises, suspension bed exercises and active assisted exercises. Before the treatment, Musami had passive knee flexion was 30 degree and a restricted ankle rom. She now had a straight leg that raises and is good post-operative procedures. She has been advised to train herself walking with Gait training walker.
Another case, of the 8 year old Divyanshu Kumar suffering from Cerebral Palsy had a condition of lack of coordination, balance, and proprioception. He faced a medical condition of restricted ankle rom and toe movement that arised due to tight muscles that causing further issues in his Quadriceps muscles like rectus femoris, vastus lateralis ,vastusmedialis,vastus intermedius and hamstring.
Dr. Karan Singh Devda at Narayan SevaSansthan said, “Both Mausmi and Devyanshu had a typical condition of Cerebral Palsy. However both were different from the other. Keeping in mind the complications of these cases we developed a strategy that was successful.”
