Jio offers extra freebies with Prime to woo more users
Users will get extra 1GB, 5GB and 10GB of data provided they recharge before Happy New Year offer ends.
Mumbai: Reliance Jio does not want to stop at a hundred million customers base it achieved within 170 days of launch of its free voice and data services on September 5 last year.
The company has an unsatiable appetite for acquiring as much number of users as possible, it is evident now.
According a report published on The Financial Express website, Jio has revealed it is presenting 'Buy one get one free' scheme for its users who will get additional data for a recharge of Rs 149 and above.
The report adds users will get extra 1GB, 5GB and 10GB of data provided they do a recharge before the Happy New Year offer ends on March 31. Apart form that, for Rs 149 a user will get 2GB data and unlimited voice calls and then another 1GB free data.
Jio that has energy giant Reliance Industries as its parent extended its free services till March 31 under Happy New Year from January 1.
Now the company has come up with Jio Prime under which a Jio customer will have to sign up at Rs 99 and do a monthly recharge of Rs 303 for accessing all services offered under Happy New Year.
The report went on to add that in Rs 499, Rs 999, Rs 1999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,999 plans you will get 10 GB of free data over and above the data originally available.
All these latest offering have been attributed to Jio's attempts to cushion the sudden blow that its customers might receive after free services expire on March 31 and Jio starts charging a palrty Rs 303 per month afterwards.
