Rajasthani entrepreneur pips all in Catalyst Pitch

Hyderabad: Startup Frontier Market led by entrepreneur Ms. Ajaita Shah from Rajasthan won the Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) competition. Ms. Shah pitched for her startup in the energy and infrastructure segment.

It may be mentioned here that the Global Entrepreneurship Summit-2017 (GES) is focusing on four sectors namely digital economy and financial technology, healthcare and life sciences, energy and infrastructure and media and entertainment.

Speaking to this newspaper, Ms. Shah said, “Pitching for your product in just 90seconds was quite difficult, but I have been practising a lot with my mentors and entrepreneurs here. I am very happy about winning this competition which opens up numerous possibilities for my startup. I am hoping that our startup becomes a pan-India brand.”

Frontier Markets brings clean energy to poor families who are facing deadly cooking and lighting facilities. In the first round about 80 startups got shortlisted but only 24 startups advanced to semi-finals.
