Kolkata: BSE and NSE-listed JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Limited (JHS), is gearing up to push up its own brand in the market and position “aquawhite” as a kids favourite character-based oral care products. The company has been manufacturing products for brands like Meswak of Dabur, OralB, DantKanti of Patanjali and Amway and has manufactured for Colgate, P&G in the past. As much as 90 per cent of its revenue comes from contract manufacturing and 10 per cent from its own brand. Going forward, in the next five years, this ratio will be changed to 50:50, said Nikhil Nanda, director, JHS.

JHS, which is keen on emerging a strong player in the Rs 13,000-crore oral care market, which is growing at a CAGR of 8 per cent, may acquire a personal care company in the south to enter a new business segment.
