SRM Institute gets highest NAAC rating
In the new accreditation process, the institute said about 70 per cent weightage is assigned to quantitative metrics.
Hyderabad: SRM Institute of Scien-ce and Technology, formerly known as SRM University, said that it has been recently accredited with the highest grade A++ by National Assessment and Accred-itation Council (NAAC).

With a score of 3.55 on a 4.00 scale, SRMIST is eligible to be granted graded autonomy as category I university as per the University Grants Commission (UGC). On becoming a Category I university, SRMIST will be automatically dee-med to be under Section 12B of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; it can also start off-campuses and increase internationalisation.
SRMIST has over 50,000 students and more than 3,200 faculty members, offering programmes in engineering, medicine, science, humanities, etc.
