Bangladesh's Hatil to invest Rs 250 crore
The brand, which entered India two years ago in Chandigarh, has at present 20 showrooms in north and east India.
PUNE: Hatil, the global Bangladeshi furniture brand, specializing in designing for homes and hotels, is investing Rs 250 crore in its factory to produce a range of furniture for the Indian market and build the brand across the country.
The 50-year-old brand known for its superior quality, craftsmanship and post sales service, opened its first showroom in Maharashtra in Pune on Monday. It plans to open the second one within three months.
“We are in Indian for a long haul and we are investing Rs 250 crore to produce a range of furniture specifically for the Indian market in our factory in Dhaka and expand our stores in India,” Selim Rehman, Chairman and Managing Director at Hatil, said.
