While many of the foreign teams in the CLT20 have felt shortchanged as some of their star players chose to represent their IPL franchises in the tournament, Trinidad & Tobago coach David Williams reckons that they learnt their lessons in the past with youngsters rising to the occasion. “Yes, we miss Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, and Kevon Cooper is gone now too. But we’re used to it now as it’s been happening to us for years. The other guys are stepping up to the plate and that’s good news for us. “When you have the likes of Evin Lewis come to the party and perform as well as he did, it helps the team in the absence of big players,” Williams said here. He marked out their top spinner Sunil Narine to deliver the goods yet again for his side in the semi-final. “The opposition always looks to play Narine out and not give him a wicket. So, his four overs are very crucial and it puts a lot of pressure on the batting side. They try and take the advantage off the others and lose wickets in doing so.” ‘Sachin in good touch’ Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians coach John Wright said Sachin Tendulkar looks in good touch with the bat. “He is hitting the ball beautifully at the moment. Like against Perth Scorchers, he had to go for it right from the start. T20 is like that. He is a quality player and his experience is important for us,” he said.
