It has been a disappointing campaign so far for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL so far. Despite having one of the best squad on paper, the Virat Kohli-led outfit have struggled to get going and are currently seventh with five losses in seven matches and much of the blame should fall on the bowling unit.

The batsmen have done their bit time and time again only to be let down with the bowling department. But despite the troubles, Sachin Baby feels that the RCB can turn it around and the arrival of medium pacer Chris Jordan will fortify the bowling troubles.

“We are pretty much like Mumbai Indians, who were at the bottom of the table midway last season but fought back to win the title. So we are hoping that we can start winning,” said Baby.

“We are only looking at the positives. We batted really well but the bowling failed. But now we have Chris Jordan in our team. Shane Watson was doing well for us and it’s only in the previous game against KKR he got hit. We have been lacking a quality bowler, so Chris’ arrival will strengthen our line-up and hopefully we will start winning. I think he will make the difference,” he remarked adding that the bowlers have had a meeting after the match to better tackle the situation.

The Kerala batsman, who has 43 runs in his two matches, have had a reasonable show in the last two matches coming in at number six.

“I’ve been batting at no. 6 for Kerala for several years and am used to it. I always believed in my game. And coach and captain have backed me right from the beginning,” he said.
