15 timber shops gutted in blaze in Jahangirpuri

Around 15 shops were gutted in a fire in a timber market at Jahangirpuri area in the early hours of Tuesday. .

“A call was received at 2.05 am about a fire that broke out in the timber market near Jahangirpuri Metro Station. Initially five fire tenders were rushed to the spot but after the fire intensified around 2.40 am, eight more fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire,” said an official from Delhi Fire Services.
