Even as the December 16 gangrape case is in the stage of final hearing in the Supreme Court, one of the convicts Mukesh on Saturday filed a writ petition seeking a CBI probe into the alleged role of the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in the gangrape and death of the victim.

The accused alleged that there was a political conspiracy to provoke general public against the then government and to win election in Delhi and other part of the country. The media did hue and cry and due to this heinous conspiracy there was a serious outrage all over India due to allegation about insertion of 2 inch thick iron rod in her private part which led to her death.

Mukesh alleged that he and other accused were deceived by Arwinder, boyfriend of the prosecutrix (victim), who used to come to Ram Singh, another accused who died in prison. In the last of November 2012, Arwinder took Ram Singh and Mukesh to Noida, introduced them with the people who asked Ram Singh to bring his bus for one night on a rent of Rs 5,000 for party purpose.

When Ram Singh refused, they offered to pay Rs 10,000 for one night and he agreed to bring his bus any day in the night between 8 pm and 6 am, but Ram Singh asked them a guarantee that nothing should happen to him or his bus.

He said thereafter one lawyer and Arvind Kejriwal (the present CM) assured and gave a guarantee to protect Ram Singh from any problem. But these people did not protect him and the accused were arrested.

Ram Singh wanted to disclose about this incident, but he was killed in the jail and it was described as a suicide. Mukesh said that since he was under fear for being killed like Ram Singh, he kept quiet. But since the hearing of the case will soon come to an end, he is filing the present writ petition.

In his petition, Mukesh alleged that it was a clear case of forgery and fraudulent investigation by the Delhi police which was accepted by the trial court and the Delhi high court and they were awarded death sentence. Apprehending that the Supreme Court may uphold the death penalty, Mukesh said he was seeking a CBI probe into the whole incident.
