Air India, Jet fliers can check in at 2 Metro stations now
After New Delhi Railway Station, check-in facility for the IGI Airport has been extended to the Shivaji Stadium Metro station in the city.
After New Delhi Railway Station, check-in facility for the IGI Airport has been extended to the Shivaji Stadium Metro station in the city. So far, limited city check-in facility was available for Air India passengers only at New Delhi station of the Airport Express Line.
Passengers of Air India and Jet Airways can now check in their baggage from these two Metro stations from between two hours and 12 hours before the scheduled departure of their flights. The flight check-in facility from these stations will close two hours prior to departure.
Jet Airways has adopted the facility in a big way and has started check-in operations from both the New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium Metro stations. The facility will help airport-bound passengers to check-in at these two city centres according to their convenience. “We take pride in introducing such customer-centric innovations for our passengers. The capital city of the country attracts lakhs of tourists from all over the world. The tourists will now have the freedom to check in their baggage well in advance at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium stations of the Airport Express Line and freely visit places of their choice in the city before reaching the airport,” DIAL CEO I. Prabhakara Rao said.
