The Delhi University is all set to launch its online undergraduate admission portal from 12 noon on Wednesday for all categories of students.

For the first time, the university will reserving five per cent seats for Kashmiri migrants from all over country. The varsity will also provide one per cent relaxation to all female applicants. Even the applicants seeking admission under the sport and extra-curricular activities category followed by Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board will have to register through the undergraduate portal.
This year, the university will announce five cut-off lists. After these cut-offs are announced, if any college brings out any additional list, no additional fees will be charged from any student. All the applicants will be provided free access to Internet and computer facilities to upload necessary documents and for filing their applications in all the colleges.
The varsity will begin its 11-day open counselling sessions from Wednesday and these will last till June 11. During these sessions, applicants and their parents can seek answers to admissions-related queries from college authorities.
The sessions will be held in two batches from 10 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm till June 4 at the university’s conference centre. The venue for the June 6 session will be S.G.T.B. Khalsa College followed by Sri Venkateshwara College.
Giving details about the registration process, DU admissions committee member and dean of students welfare J.M. Khurana said the candidates need to visit the university portal and generate an email and password after which a confirmation mail will be sent to them. “The email, will confirm their registration,” he added.
