Dengue: 52 fresh cases in one week
With 52 new dengue cases reported from the city hospitals last week, total number of cases from the vector-borne disease has risen to 171.
With 52 new dengue cases reported from the city hospitals last week, total number of cases from the vector-borne disease has risen to 171. Of these, 81 have been reported from the national capital and the remaining from neighbouring states. Out of total cases, 91 were recorded last month. Six cases of dengue was reported in May and 15 cases in June.
As per the report released by the civic bodies, 52 fresh cases have been reported since the last count and the total number of cases in the city is 171 so far.
Sadar Paharganj and Karol Bagh zones under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation reported a case each and the City and Civil Lines zones reported two cases each. Central zone of South Delhi Municipal Corporation has recorded 10 cases and Najafgarh, West, and South Zones of the SDMC recorded seven, four and five cases, respectively.
The SDMC has reported 26 cases overall while the East Delhi Municipal Corporation recorded six dengue cases last week. Of the total number of cases last week, 18 were reported from areas outside the jurisdiction of the three municipal corporations.
