NSG, Thai commandos conduct mock drill at Metro
A joint mock drill was conducted by the National Security Guard (NSG) and Thai Special Forces at the Huda City Centre Metro station, Gurgaon, late on Friday night.
A joint mock drill was conducted by the National Security Guard (NSG) and Thai Special Forces at the Huda City Centre Metro station, Gurgaon, late on Friday night.
Sources said that around 142 NSG and 47 Thai Special Forces participated in the mock drill. It was conducted for around an hour by the joint forces on the scenarios of “Metro Intervention at Huda City Centre” in which NSG personnel and Thai special commandos participated. During this period, eight CISF personnel were also present.
“The special forces practised how to neutralise suspected terrorists and rescue passengers. The drill lasted for nearly one hours,” said the source.
“The NSG conducts such drills to check their preparedness to respond to a hostage crisis or terrorist situation.”
“The drills were held to enhance their preparedness ahead of festival seasons and possible terror threat to deal with any potential threats,” said the sources.
