Online appointments at AIIMS branches soon
The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has helped six other branches of the hospital in other parts of country to digitise appointment and other services.
The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has helped six other branches of the hospital in other parts of country to digitise appointment and other services. The online appointment system will be started in other branches of the hospital soon. A meeting regarding sharing of technical expertise between the hospitals has taken place as well.
AIIMS will connect the six other branches of the hospital in the country through information technology.
“First and foremost, patients will be able to register themselves online for treatment. For treatment, they will also receive online appointment so that they don’t run from pillar to post for it, “ said a hospital official.
As part of the process, the Internet server of AIIMS Delhi will be linked with the other branches and information regarding medical inventory, availability of various medicines and various surgical instruments will be available for other branches to view. Information regarding the same will also be updated on the AIIMS website.
“Bills of patients after their treatment and discount given to patients with poor monetary background will be available to the other branches from the main AIIMS server for the purpose of transparency. Apart from this, after lab experiments of patient samples, the report will be made online and the same will also be sent to the smartphone of the concerned doctor,” said the hospital official.
Nurses, doctors and information technology experts of the other branches of AIIMS will be trained by specialists of Delhi AIIMS because they are the ones dealing with patients on a day-to-day basis.
