Police raids firm linked to leak of call details

Delhi police personnel on Monday raided the Barakhamba Road office of BLS Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for its alleged involvement in illegally obtaining call record details.

The office of the firm located on sixth floor of a building was raided at 10.45 am. “No senior executives of the detective agency were found in office. The police has seized hard disks and procured soft copies of files from its computer server. Top officials of the company are absconding. We have even gone to their homes, but they were missing from there as well,” said a senior police officer.

After this newspaper mentioned the role of a former joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation in the detective agency, the BLS Management Solutions has shut down its website.

The police also revealed that several renowned detective agencies and two other high profile international firms are under scanner for their links to the controversy, but added that its officers are still investigating these links.

“Two other international firms bigger than BLS Management Solutions have come under our scanner and we are investigating to gather more evidence against them. Apart from this, many other local detective agencies were in touch with the arrested persons,” said the police.

“Investigation found role of several renowned detective agencies in the snooping case. After collecting evidence, the owners of these agencies will be summoned. Till now, we have procured a list of 350 mobile numbers snooped on by arrested persons.”
