There is a growing resentment among a section of the Delhi BJP leaders over saffron MP Majoj Tiwari recently joining hands with city AAP minister Kapil Mishra in a fumigation drive to control mosquito breeding responsible for the outbreak of vector-borne diseases in the national capital.

Party leaders also wondered over the timing of the photo opportunity as after two days of joint efforts, Mr Tiwari left for Singapore when over 30 people died due to vector borne diseases in the city and BJP questioned the absence of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and other ministers from Delhi.

On Wednesday evening, Mr Mishra was joined by BJP Lok Sabha member from Northeast Delhi Mr Tiwari during a fumigation drive at Sonia Vihar. Party’s state unit leaders have raised objection on the photo-ops of Mr Tiwari with Mr Mishra as the later is in the habit of making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “We know politics should be avoided in such a time when city is facing a epidemic like situation. Everyone should join hands to fight the vector borne diseases. But Mr Tiwari joining hands with Mr Mishra has not gone well with the large section of party leaders and state office bearers,” said a Delhi BJP office bearer.
