In an attempt to bring in more professionalism in various faculties of the newly constituted Delhi Dialogue Commission, a think tank of the AAP government, the administration has started the process to rope in consultants to speed up works in the national capital. The primary aim of the DDC is to come up with new ideas, identify best practices and policies from around the world and translate them into concrete recommendations, projects and documents for the transformative change of the Delhi government. The consultants would be hired for a period of one year and paid up to Rs 1.55 lakh every month.

The government move to hire professional consultants is being interpreted in the political circles as an attempt to minimise the role of bureaucrats in policy and decision making. As the government is at loggerheads with several bureaucrats on a host of contentious issues, a source said that roping in professionals from different fields will help run the administration smoothly.

Among the professionals the AAP government is looking for is a senior consultant for law, whose primary job would be to draft, formulate and vet legal frameworks and documents relating to promotion of private investment, drafting legislation and other research work. The consultant has to have a LLB degree with five years professional experience relevant to the job description.

The administration is also searching for a senior consultant for e-governance. The main job of the consultant would be to formulate proposals and undertake advise in matters related to formulation of a wide range of issues related to e-governance, mobile governance and cyber security, including automation, computerisation and digitalisation of government processes, work flows and public delivery system. The minimum qualification required for the post is PG in Computer Science or BE and the applicant has to have at least three years experience in relevant e-governance work.

In the social sector, the government is looking for a senior consultant whose job would be to formulate proposals and undertake advise in matters related to formulation of schemes and projects in health and education sectors, particularly public private partnerships and CSR initiatives. The candidates, who have PG in Economics or Business Administration with five years of relevant experience can apply till January 30.

The administration is also searching for a senior consultant who could formulate proposals and advice in matters related to finance and revenue models of public private partnership projects.
