The year 2017 brought success to some while others faced their share of lows. However, with the New Year finally upon us, it is time to look ahead. B’wood is also gearing up for the year to come  — the new projects on the professional front, the challenges to be faced, the new places to travel to and the new resolutions made. All in all, it looks like these celebs are ready to take 2018 by storm!

Kailash Kher:
I am satisfied with the way my life is. As someone who has no cravings for material things, I also have no need to aspire for them. In 2018, I want to continue to live life the same way as I have — simple and fulfilling.

On a professional front, I am looking to create music that will heal. Using sound therapy and therapeutic words, my team and I are looking to create a new variety of songs that will wash away all weariness and bring health and joy to the listeners. This is a project that I am doing because it brings me joy — it is very personal for me. I hope that I can reach the world with this music and help people through it.

Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu:
The year 2017 was great for me. I hope 2018 will be even better than that. From Naam Shabana to Judwaa 2, it has really been an interesting mix in terms of the films that I have been a part of. I do hope that 2018 will bring me a lot more in terms of variety and I want to go a notch higher than my performances this year. I have my fingers crossed and am waiting to see what the coming year brings for me. For now, I’m in Goa with my family to ring in the year.

Varun Dhawan.

Varun Dhawan:
This has been my best year at the box office and I have managed to get a lot of love from the audience. My responsibility as an actor has increased too, as to what kind of projects should I do. Going forward into the New Year, I would like to keep that in mind and do the kind of films that the audience would like me in. I always want to keep the children in mind when I do films. Even they need to get entertained when they watch my films. I want a lot of peace for the world in the coming year.

Nimrat Kaur

Nimrat Kaur:
I am looking forward to 2018 as a year full of excitement, surprises and a lot of change. I will be changing my residence this year. The year 2018 will also be about seeing unexplored places and making new connections.

On a personal level, I need to learn to be less impatient. I want to do something crazy this year,  like skydiving. Also, be it a skill or a language — I want to learn something new. It was a very trying year for me where things just plateaued for me and nothing much happened for a long period. I am sure those things will not creep into my 2018 and that’s why I am so positive about the next year.

Radhika Apte

Radhika Apte:
The year has been good. I have been working on a few films. I also did Padman for R Balki sir. My co-star Akshay Kumar is so lovely. He is always making jokes and playing pranks all the while. I am looking forward to the film in the new year. I do not have butterflies in the stomach. I am very confident about the film. I am working on both days, on New Year’s eve as well as in the New Year, so no holidays for me. But I will try to go to Pune to celebrate the New Year with my family.

Sharman Joshi:
I’m looking forward to lots of good work both in films and theatre, and spending quality time with my family. I also want to learn how to manage my time well this year. I want work to keep me busy, but not so busy that I don’t have time for my family between movies and plays.

Sharman Joshi

My travel plans are impromptu but yes, I certainly want to go on many excursions this year.  As for regrets or things I want to leave behind — there aren’t any. I’m just looking forward to doing everything that makes my family and myself happy.
