Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Sonchiriya, which was earlier supposed to release on February 8, has been pushed to March 1. As far as the reason is concerned, the makers seem to be redubbing certain portions of the film to connect better with the masses.

A source close to the film reveals, “The dialect of the film is not something that is connecting with the viewers who have seen it. Abhishek Chaubey is known for his authenticity but the language in this film is too difficult for everyone to understand. Hence, the makers are redubbing major portions to connect with the audience.”

The dacoit drama is set during the Emergency period of the 70s and the plot is based on a story from Chambal and its gangsters. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar in lead also features Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana in prominent roles.
