Bollywood calling for Akanksha Singh
The telly actress is going to be seen on the big screen with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.
Akanksha Singh has much to cheer about these days. The telly actress is going to be seen on the big screen with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya. Akanksha can barely believe her luck as she recounts how this happened.
“I got a call and went for an audition. I didn’t even realise this would happen, but I got selected in a few days. I was totally numb when I got the news that I was in. The casting team had actually forwarded my pictures to the director, and he liked the look. During the auditions they said they are in a hurry, and then everything happened in a jiffy. I obviously made the most of the opportunity, as it was for Dharma Productions.”
So, how was the experience of shooting with Varun and Alia, we ask. “We were shooting in Singapore and the atmosphere felt like a family kind, because everyone from the team was so nice, including Alia, Varun and the director. They didn’t make me feel like I was an outsider at all.”
