Mom to combat Maatr clash with promotional strategy

Women centric films are the recent trend in Bollywood. Pink, Akira and very recently Naam Shabana dealt with the issue of eve teasing and women safety in our country. Two other films that have joined the league are Sridevi’s Mom and Raveena Tandon’s Maatr. These films deal with the issue of rape and sources suggest that the plots are similar.

A close source reveals, “Since the plots are similar, the makers of Mom have planned a different promotional strategy for the film.”

Raveena Tandon, however, has squashed talks of similarities. Mom stars Sridvei, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles.
