Fukrey 3 on its way?
The second instalment not only was lauded, but raked the moolah as well.
After a good franchise becomes a hit, it becomes kind of obvious that the next part will surely be on. That’s what one was expecting from the Fukrey franchise too after Fukrey Returns did much better than Fukrey. The second instalment not only was lauded, but raked the moolah as well.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the second part with Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Ali Faizal chasing their dreams and Richa Chaddha as a Punjabi female don, is now getting the third part from Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.
In a media interaction, Varun, who got every popular as Chucha in both the parts, confirmed the same. “The first two parts were very big hits and that is why the makers are getting the third part written. I am close to the franchise because it is my first franchise and I am very close to the character of Chucha as well. I had a word with the makers and hopefully we should have an announcement at the earliest,” he said.
Fukrey Returns made in 2017 collected over Rs 100 crore at the turnstiles. The first part Fukrey made in 2013 collected close to Rs 40 crore.
