Ananya Pandey’s debut film Student of the Year 2 received an average welcome at the box office, but her next film, which is an adaptation of Pati Patni Aur Woh, seems to have caught everyone’s interest.

Talking about the film she said: “The idea is the same, the skeleton of the film is the same, but it’s a very modernized version. It’s a version that some people could relate to in today’s times. The remake has been embroiled in a controversy since Taapsee Pannu revealed that she was unceremoniously dropped from the film at the last minute without any clarification. Later, Bhoomi Pednekar was finalised for the role.

When asked about the conflict, Ananya said: “As an actor, I have never got involved in the casting process so I don’t know anything about the casting process. And the role she was speaking about is Bhumi’s.”
