Now, Milan to direct Aahan

Initially Mohit Suri’s name was considered as the front-runner to helm Suniel Shetty’s son Aahan Shetty in the remake of the Telugu superhit RX 100.

But now it will be the former Mahesh Bhatt protégé Milan Luthria — of Kachche Dhaage and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai fame — who will be helming the project acquired by Sajid Nadiadwala.

“The original story is a violent love story. It also featured newcomers like Karthikeya and Payal Rajput in the lead. With films like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain under his belt, Mohit was an apt choice for the film. But with dates not working out, he had to opt out of the project making way for much senior Milan in the film. Incidentally, Mohit and Milan both have learnt the roles of direction in the Mahesh Bhatt’s school of filmmaking,” says a source.

RX 100 is the story of the dutiful Shiva who gets mesmerised by Indu. Elders object to the relationship and the couple is separated. An angry Shiva gets into his Rudravatar and later realises that the girl used him to satisfy her carnal urge. A new actress is slated to cast opposite Ahan.
