Mumbai: Aanand L Rai's upcoming film Zero, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2018. Khan had unveiled the title and teaser of the film yesterday, sending his fans into a tizzy.
Rai, who had previously helmed Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Tanu Weds Manu series’ and Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Raanjhnaa’ in the past, is quite excited about his most ambitious project yet. This is for the first time he is working with a superstar like Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking about casting Shah Rukh Khan in the film, he recently revealed to Mumbai Mirror that he needed a big star to take the story to audiences all over the world. "Even if you cut two feet away from Khan saab, he’d still stand tall," he says about King Khan, who plays a dwarf in the upcoming film.
Rai is popular for producing and directing films which are based on unconventional and often taboo topics. The director said "he'd lose sleep" if he were to repeat any of the films he has been a part of.
The making of Zero is still midway but the director- producer decided to give a sneak peek into the film by releasing a small teaser. The flick that also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, is slated to release on 21st December 2018.
